  • Introduction of instructor, Acupuncture Society of America instructors and Acupuncture Society of America.
  • Explanation of classroom workbook, classroom textbook, reading assignments, and five page paper, double spaced, on: Acupuncture, any area of interest, i.e., History/premise, Auriculo-therapy, Non-piercing Techniques, Micro-current, etc. – Submit by Module 3—a component of final grade.
  • Review daily schedule, monthly schedule, supply kit for workshops, meridian point workshops (dots).
  • Hotel reservation information.
  • Introduction to components of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), i.e., acupuncture, moxibustion, tuina, herbology, & qi gong.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Review of the Basic Acupuncture Certification Program.
  • Outline of the Advanced Acupuncture Certification Program.
2:00 pm – 2:15 pm
  • Break.
2:15 am – 4:15 pm
  • Continue Review of Basic and Advanced Acupuncture Certification Program.
4:15 pm – 4:30 pm
  • Break.
4:30 pm – 6:40 pm
  • Special Effect points of the Lung Meridian and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing, ten treatment methods, and various methods of stimulation.
  • Video on natural healing – “Healing and the Mind – The Mystery of Ch’i”.

Saturday
8:00 am – 10:00 am
  • Explanation and use of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels (Ancestral Vessels).
  • Explanation and review of the Eight Confluent Points, their locations, and the many conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: location and stimulation of the paired points.
10:00 am – 10:15 am
  • Break.
10:15 am – 11:15 am
  • Continue with Eight Extraordinary Vessels, Eight Confluent Points, and workshop.
11:15 am – 12:15 pm
  • Special Effect points of the Large Intestine Meridian and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing, ten treatment methods, and various methods of stimulation.

  • Lunch Break.

  • Video presentation from China, Zhenjiuology, #23 – Eye Acupuncture Therapy.

  • Continue study of Large Intestine Meridian.

  • Discussion and workshop on acupuncture points for structural correction, sprain/strain, fibromyalgia, joint disorders, traumatic arthritis, gout, whiplash, TMJ, and rib subluxation.

Sunday

  • Mind-Body Healing techniques by Qi Gong.
8:00 am – 9:00 am
  • Special Effect points of the Stomach Meridian and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing, ten treatment methods, and various methods of stimulation.
9:00 am – 9:15 am
  • Break
9:15 am – 11:15 am
  • Continue study of Stomach Meridian.
  • Hands on workshop – diagnosis and treatment by Akabane points.
  • Graphing, graph interpretation, and preparing an effective treatment plan.
11:15 am – 11:30 am
  • Break.
11:30 am – 1:35 pm
  • Continue workshop, diagnosis, treatment, and treatment plan.
  • Special Effect points of the Spleen Meridian and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing, ten treatment methods, and various methods of stimulation.
  • Review reading assignments.
  • Question & Answer Session.

  • Classroom Textbook: Acupuncture, A Comprehensive Text (ACT). Assigned reading for Module I, read pages 1 to 200. Price: $65.00.
  • Classroom Workbook: Bring to all classes. Doctors attending for license renewal credit will be provided with all necessary classroom notes. Price: $55.00.
