  • Introduction of instructor, Acupuncture Society of America instructors and Acupuncture Society of America.
  • Explanation of classroom workbook, classroom textbook, reading assignments, and five page paper, double spaced, on: Acupuncture, any area of interest, i.e., History/premise, Auriculo-therapy, Non-piercing Techniques, Micro-current, etc. – Submit by Module 3—a component of final grade.
  • Review daily schedule, monthly schedule, supply kit for workshops, meridian point workshops (dots).
  • Hotel reservation information.
  • Introduction to components of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), i.e., acupuncture, moxibustion, tuina, herbology, & qi gong.
  • Oral examination on 10 Control Points and their function.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Various treatment approaches utilizing the 10 Control Points.
  • Questions and Answers.
2:00 pm – 2:15 pm
  • Break.
2:15 am – 3:15 pm
  • Continue and complete.
  • Five Element Correspondencies (odors, sounds, emotions, climate, seasons, taste, colors and their relationship to the treatment of illness).
  • Thermal Reflex areas to diagnosis meridian excess or deficiency.
  • Workshop.
3:15 pm – 4:15 pm
  • Detailed study of the Pericardium Meridian (9) Points and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing.
4:15 pm – 4:30 pm
  • Break.
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
  • Continue and complete study of the Pericardium Meridian.
5:30 pm – 6:40 pm
  • Video presentation from China, Zhenjiuology, #19 – Anatomy of the Points Requiring Prudent Manipulations.

Saturday
8:00 am – 10:00 am
  • Detailed study of the Triple Warmer Meridian (23 Points) and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing.
10:00 am – 10:15 am
  • Break.
10:15 am – 12:15 pm
  • Detailed study of the Gall Bladder Meridian (44 Points) and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing.
12:15 pm – 1:45 pm
  • Lunch Break.
1:45 pm – 3:45 pm
  • Continue and Complete study of Gall Bladder Meridian; Begin Micro Systems – Scalp, Hands, Face, and Ear, Workshop.
4:00 pm – 6:35 pm
  • Continue and complete study of Micro Systems.

Sunday

  • Mind-body healing – Qi gong.
  • Zhenjiuology, #18 – Chapter 18 Points: Head and Neck, Chest and Abdomen, Back, Upper Extremities, Lower Extremities.
9:00 am – 9:15 am
  • Break
9:15 am – 10:30 am
  • Tongue Diagnosis.
  • Discussion/workshop.
10:30 am – 11:30 am
  • Detailed study of the Liver Meridian (14 Points) ) and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing.
11:30 am – 11:45 am
  • Break.
11:45 am – 1:35 pm
  • Continue and complete study of Liver Meridian.
  • Basics of Chinese Diagnostics and Case Histories.
  • Discussion/workshop.
  • Overview 100 Hour Series.
  • Question & Answer session.
  • Review reading assignments
