  • Introduction of instructor, Acupuncture Society of America instructors and Acupuncture Society of America
  • Five page paper (double spaced), on the Premise, Principles, and Scope of the Practice of Acupuncture. Must have by Module 3 (if you have not already submitted) — a component of final grade.
  • Overview of Modules 1, 2 and 3.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Detailed study of the Conception Vessel (24) Points) and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing.
2:00 pm – 2:15 pm
  • Break.
2:15 am – 4:15 pm
  • Continue and complete Conception Vessel.
  • Detailed study of the Governing Vessel (28) Points) and conditions they treat.
  • Workshop: precise point location, Five Element Correspondencies (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), palpation of ashi points, meridian tracing.
4:15 pm – 4:30 pm
  • Break.
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Continue and Complete Governing Vessel.
5:00 pm – 6:40 pm
  • Zhenjiuology, #7 Scalp Needling.
  • Discussions, review needling techniques, diagnosis, and treatments with questions & answer session.

Saturday
8:00 am – 10:00 am
  • Zhenjiuology, #12 Internal Disease .
  • Discussions, review.
10:00 am – 10:15 am
  • Break.
10:15 am – 12:15 pm
  • Overview of 200 Hour Examination, Questions & answer session.
12:15 pm – 1:45 pm
  • Lunch Break.
1:45 pm – 4:00 pm
  • 200 Hour Examination.
4:00 pm – 4:15 pm
  • Break.
4:15 pm – 6:35 pm
  • Qi gong video, various forms of Tai Chi & Qi gong with several of Dr. Yennie’s teachers in China.
7:15 pm – 9:15 pm
  • Banquet of the Yellow Emperor and graduation celebration.

Sunday
7:00 am – 9:00 am
  • Mind-body healing – Qi gong.
  • Video presentation from China Acupuncture for the reproductive system.
  • Discussion/workshop.
9:00 am – 9:15 am
  • Break.
9:15 am – 11:15 am
  • Tongue Diagnosis.
  • Extra ordinary vessels.
  • Discussion/workshop.
11:15 am – 11:30 am
  • Break.
11:30 am – 12:30 pm
  • Chinese Diagnostics and Case Histories.
  • Discussion/workshop.
12:30 pm – 1:35 pm
  • Continue Basics of Chinese Diagnostics and Case Histories.
  • Question & Answer session.
  • Utilizing acupuncture in your daily practice.

Certification Examination Information

Certification Examination for those who have completed 100 classroom hours. Examination can be taken at any module provided applicant has satisfied the 100 hour classroom requirements (hours logged with other approved courses can be credited toward ASA’s Certification). Examination Fee: $75.00.
