Course Policies

  1. An income tax deduction is allowed for educational expenses that maintain and improve business skills (tuition, travel, meals and lodging.)
  2. Every attempt is made to offer these programs as scheduled. The Acupuncture Society of America, Inc. (ASA) reserves the right, however, to adjust program faculty, location, dates, and time, or cancel to accommodate unanticipated occurrences. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND REGISTRATION AT THE DOOR WITHOUT CONFIRMATION OF SEMINAR LOCATION, HOTEL, AND/OR DATE. ONLY THOSE PRE-REGISTERED CAN BE NOTIFIED OF CHANGES.
  3. Pre-registration means that your registrations and payments are received no later than ten (10) days prior to seminar date, by 6:00 p.m. CST. This is to provide adequate materials and space for all participants. We recommend registration at least three (3) weeks in advance. Hotel reservations must be made four weeks in advance to guarantee rates and room availability.
  4. There will be a $50 processing fee for attendees who do not attend or do not call prior to seminar date. Calls must be received by Thursday 12:00 pm, CST prior to seminar date. Tuition will be held until we hear from you. Tuition can be transferred to another seminar or refunded minus a $50 processing fee.
  5. All Continuing Education Seminars are monitored for attendance. Credit is issued for actual hours of attendance only. If you are late or leave early, no credit hours will be issued for time missed. If you sign in and do not attend the seminar, no credit hours will be issued. You may transfer to an alternate date or request.
  6. Doctors attending class for Certification may also apply for CEUS.  Inquire about your state.   If you are attending for CEUS only, a CEU fee is included in your tuition.  There is an added fee of $60 to apply for CEUS when taking Certification classes.
  7. Student tuition applies only to students presently in school, first degree, (chiropractic, medical, osteopathic, physical therapy, nurse, massage, etc.) college ID must be provided prior to or at Module 1.
  8. Doctor fees apply to all doctors, nurse practitioners, massage therapists, nutritionists, and those holding degrees, whether working with a doctor, in their own establishment, or recently graduated and not yet working. Doctors of Chiropractic receive a Certification Diploma on completion of each 100 hours and examination. Nurse practitioners, massage therapist, nutritionists, assistants, spouses, etc. receive a Certification Diploma granted by ASA on completion of 100 hours and examination.
  9. The 100, 200, *300 hour programs require examinations of proficiency upon completion. Exams can be taken at any module provided applicant has satisfied classroom requirements. If a module(s) is missed, you may sit for the exam, your diploma will not be granted, however, until 100 hours are logged. If you do not pass, you may retake the exam at a later date. EXAMINATION FEE IS $75.
  10. The Acupuncture Supply Kit is required for the Basic & Advanced Series; purchase recommended prior to or at Module 1. The Kit is $55 and provides necessary workshop materials. Kits can be shared by two people.

*300 Hour program qualifies you to sit for the American Chiropractic Association Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture Diplomate exam for DABCA status.
